I am starting this group because I would love to find people that have the same interest in upcycling, repurposing, and refinishing stuff. This group would get together to talk about DIY techniques or outings to those dirty/junky places other people would overlook. I have not found many people, on my own, that really enjoy this same thing so I decided what better way then with Meetup. I hope to see you at a thrift store near you! I love to create different kinds of art and crafts, but it would be even more fun to create art with other women. Crafting can be kind of isolating. Plus seeing what other women are creating is inspiring and fun. If you are interested in meeting once or twice a month to work on projects, exchange ideas, make new friends, possibly enter crafts into area festivals, or take art/craft classes together, then let me know!

However it's not required that you have a business, if you are just interested in knitting, scrap-booking, and other crafts then this is the group for you!

Ever look at something and say, "That costs how much????" Or look in your closet (garage, sock drawer, attic, etc.) and say, "If I had the time I'd sell this stuff or at least try to give this away." Well what if money was no longer in the picture and you could trade some stuff you don't need or want anymore for items you do need! Our swaps typically take place on the 1st Friday of the month, sometimes we have a pot luck beforehand. This is a great venue to meet and mingle with other food makers and food lovers!
